Agritest S.r.l. has established a technology transfer agreement with the Department of Plant Protection and Applied Microbiology (DPPMA), University of Bari, Italy, to
- study plant viral nucleic acid , virus protein expression, molecular cloning of plant virus specific fragments;
- develop specific DNA and RNA probes for diagnostic purposes;
- monitor probe specificity in molecular assays
The company is the licensee of the patent n° MI2004A000258, University of Bari, Italy: ‘Diagnostic set and method to detect fitovirus infections in nursery productions’.
To the patent, Agritest owns additional molecular probes, developed under the research project funded by the Region Apulia, Italy, PRAI Biotecnologie 2004 and supervised by DPPMA, University of Bari, Italy. |
